When Mike first asked Mary Beth out, she turned him down. The day of their wedding, he joked that when she said no, he went after her like a lion goes after a gazelle. He wasn’t going to give up...he knew there was something special about her. It’s a good thing he was so persistent because she ended up falling for him and he for her.
Scott and I got to watch their relationship develop from the beginning. We all served on our Church’s Life Teen core team together. Being able to witness them falling in love and then to be a part of their wedding day means so much to us.
