Friday Funnies

29 June 2012

So, the last couple of weeks have gone by in a blur.  Alexander had VBS last week, which I ended up helping with at the last minute.  So. Much. Fun!  Seriously.  The kids were all so cute.  I helped with music, and watching them sing and do their little motions was adorbs!  I got to second shoot a wedding with Colleen Reed, and it was Scott and my 6th anniversary.  How have the past 6 years gone by so quickly?  My sister-in-law is moving and dislocated her shoulder…so, I get to help her pack since I’ve done it 20 something times in the past.  It ridic how many times I have moved!

Needless to say, I haven’t had much time to even think about blogging.  Thank you to Pinterest for making this post possible today.  Why not share some funnies, right?

Did anybody else see the Back to the Future hoax this week that was going around? October 21, 2015 people, not June 27, 2012.

So guilty of this!  It’s nice to know I’m not the only one that needs to feel like I’ve accomplished something.

Um yeah…my mantra these last few weeks!

Have a great weekend!  Enjoy the BBQ’s, sunshine, and all American traditions!

The Importance of Capturing a Moment in Time

08 September 2011

We have been busy busy busy.  One of the things we did over the holiday weekend was to start making Alexander’s room into a big boy room.  I’m painting and sorting/pitching/donating toys and clothes, and I moved the guest bedroom full size mattress into The Bub’s room.  He now has a real big boy bed and I knew he would be excited, but I wasn’t ready for how excited he’d be.

They're not the best pictures from a photographer's point of view, but I was just glad to have my camera so that I could capture his joy.  This just goes to show that getting the picture is more important than making sure it's perfect.  If I had worried about the fact the lighting was horrible, that he had no pants on, that there's painting stuff all over the room and undone walls, I wouldn't have gotten these shots.

Monday Musings - Labor Day

05 September 2011

Ahhhh, rest.  This last week has been a week of sickness for me and I totally wasn’t prepared for an early cold season.  It was surprising to get hit hard with a bad could in late August.  Doesn’t that nasty bug wait usually wait until school starts to bring people down?  Needless to say, since I was dragging I was ready for a holiday weekend to catch up on rest.
Alexander starts pre-kindergarten this coming week and we’re just trying to enjoy the family time this weekend.  Scott did a crazy amount of paper organization and I did some painting.  Alexander was buy re-discovering his old toys.  I think today we’re going to go to the park for some fun family time.  Enjoy your Labor Day, everybody!
